Just got back from a couple of days at Supernormal with Chris. Bang the Bore were curating part of it and Kev asked us to do a Nil set on Sunday in a barn on site which went down well. There was plenty of brilliant stuff going on – Bolide Awkwardstra and Thee Bald Knobbers in a sound clash; Team Sports playing quiet improv in a field, Blurt blurting and so much more.
It was held at Braziers Park in Oxfordshire, a community based in a grade II listed house set in 12 acres. Worth checking out http://www.braziers.org.uk/
We spent three days at the Barefoot Festival with E’s family, running the Amnesty Stall, hanging out in the music tent and having group gong therapy.
This Utopia Labyrinth was next to the stall, the girls took part in the paint fight on Saturday inside it. Had a great time, kind of a warm up for Supernormal later in the month. Lots of hippies. I live in Brighton so I’m used to seeing hippies but I was surprised to see so many. What more could you want.
